Class FAQs

Do I need dance experience to attend a class?

No, dance experience is not needed to attend a Dance Out Dementia class. All skills levels are welcome! The classes are designed so all attendees can participate either in a chair or standing. All movement can be done both ways.

Do I need to sign up to attend class?

No, no sign up is necessary to attend a class. In addition, if you attend one class, you do not have to attend all of the others (though it would be great it you did!). All classes are drop-in. In addition, all classes are free.

What should I wear to class?

Please come in comfortable clothing that you can move around in. If you have tap shoes, please wear those, but if you don't, sneakers are totally fine! Dance Out Dementia will also have a few pairs of  tap shoes  available to borrow.

What should I bring to class?

The only thing you need to bring is your sneakers or tap shoes! However, bringing a bottle of water to class with you is recommended.
